Donald Trump, the former US President and Republican candidate, is set to hold an outdoor rally in North Carolina on Wednesday.
This will be his first open-air campaign event since narrowly escaping an assassination attempt at a similar event a month ago. Security measures for the rally have reportedly been heightened, with bulletproof glass being used around Trump’s podium.
The Secret Service had previously advised him to stop holding outdoor events following the shooting incident in Pennsylvania where he was injured. Despite this, Trump has expressed his desire to return to open-air events and stated that the Secret Service will increase their operation to ensure his safety.
