Dr. Chukwuemeka Asogwa Urges Enugu State Government to Embrace Digital Technology for Youth Empowerment

Enugu-born digital marketer and youth development expert, Dr. Chukwuemeka Asogwa, has urged the Enugu State Government to embrace digital technology as it is a very effective and efficient way of engaging the youths to be productive and useful to the state.

Dr. Asogwa made this call on Friday during the first edition of the Enugu Youths Investment Summit held at the Base Landmark investment center, Independence Enugu.

He stated that the world is undergoing a financial revolution, and it is essential for Enugu State to be at the forefront of this revolution by embracing digital technology. According to him, this will not only empower the youths but also make the state more competitive in the global economy.

Dr. Asogwa emphasized the importance of investing heavily in digital literacy and skills development among the youths in Enugu State as it will enable them to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital economy.

He also called on the state government to create an enabling environment for digital innovation and entrepreneurship to thrive in the state, as this will attract more investment and create job opportunities for the youth.

Dr. Asogwa also appreciated the efforts of the administration of former Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in the area of youth inclusion and involvement in Governance which he said, provided an opportunity for him to work as a senior special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Youths development as well empowerment, saying that such gesture is being replicated now, by the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

He urged the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Enugu state chapter to provide 10 brilliant young persons that he would mentor into becoming millionaires through digiprenuer before the end of the year.

Dr. Asogwa reiterated the need for Enugu State to embrace digital technology as a means of empowering the youth and driving economic growth and development in the state.
