Dr. Fola David, a talented Nigerian physician and hyper-realism artist, has successfully set a new Guinness World Record for the largest drawing by an individual, showcasing his remarkable skill and artistic prowess.
Among the distinguished visitors who came to support David’s historic attempt were Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi; former Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci; and businessman, Farooq Oreagba, who recently made a memorable appearance at the 2024 Ojude Oba Festival.
The management of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, where David is an esteemed alumnus, visited to offer their encouragement and support.
As David’s artwork nears completion, it stands as a testament to his artistic expertise, dedication, and passion for celebrating Nigerian culture.
He wrote:
“Congratulations to us all. On Day 4 at 9 pm, we broke the current record of 629.98 square metres, but we are not done! As the goal is to get over 1000 square metres of canvas covered in drawings; we are currently at 689 square metres. Let’s Go!”
