The Executive Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Ibenaku Harford Onoh, has enjoined Christians, especially those living in Enugu North Local Government Area, to use this year’s Christmas to reflect on the teachings of Christ, whose life exemplifies the enduring values of love, humility, and kindness.
Dr. Onoh made this known on Tuesday in a Christmas press statement, which he sent to newsmen in Enugu in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He stated that the birth of Christ brings a message of renewal, which invites Christians to embrace the virtues required in their endeavors.
While extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of Enugu North LGA, Dr. Onoh called on residents to unite in their collective responsibility to advance the growth and development of the area. He reassured the people of his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare, education, and infrastructure, despite existing challenges, noting that these efforts are geared towards creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
He also lauded the efforts of the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing his leadership as transformative and inspiring. According to him, Governor Mbah’s strides in infrastructural development and his vision for Enugu State’s progress have provided a roadmap for sustainable growth and opportunity for all.
Dr. Onoh however, urged the people to celebrate responsibly and remain hopeful for a New Year filled with promise and determination; while also wishing all residents of Enugu North LGA a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
