Ahead of the September 21st Local Government elections in Enugu State, the Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, has appointed and inaugurated the Local Government Party Chairman of the Party, Hon. Ernest Onuoha, as the Director General of the PDP Chairmanship Campaign Council of the area, while all the ward chairmen of the party across the 13 political wards in the local government area were also inaugurated as the campaign coordinators at their various wards.
Speaking during the inauguration of the PDP Enugu North’s Campaign Council held at the Party’s Local Government Party Office in China Town, Enugu, Dr. Onoh implored all the party leaders to work hard at their various wards to ensure victory for the party at all levels.
Dr. Onoh expressed confidence that with Hon. Ernest Onuoha at the helm of the campaign council, alongside the committed ward chairmen and stakeholders of the party at the various wards, the PDP’s victory in the forthcoming local government elections is certain.
He emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization, urging all members of the campaign council to engage the electorates at every level and highlight the various achievements of the Party under the leadership of our dear Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
He further stressed that unity within the party would be key to success, stating that, “We must leave no stones unturned in our quest to win this election. The people of Enugu North Municipal Council deserve capable and transparent leadership, and I believe the PDP is the only party poised to provide that.”
Dr. Ibenaku Onoh also took time to commend Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the outstanding infrastructural developments in all parts of Enugu particularly for the numerous projects sited in his Local Government (Enugu North Local Government Area).
He highlighted projects such as the international conference centre, the numerous urban roads already completed and those recently awarded, the Presidential Hotel under construction, the 5-star hotel currently under construction, the upgraded water infrastructure in the state, the world class Hospital recently awarded, the beautification of roundabouts and the general efforts towards giving Enugu urban a new look. Dr Onoh also commended the Governor for the transparent and prudent management of the resources of Enugu state, stating that all these highlighted projects are the results of the Governor’s strategic determination and prudent management of limited resources.
Reacting to his appointment, Hon. Ernest Onuoha thanked Dr. Onoh and the party for the trust reposed in him, pledging to lead a robust and all-inclusive campaign that will deliver overwhelming support for the PDP.
He expressed readiness to work with all party stakeholders and members of the party to ensure that the party’s message continues to resonates with the people of Enugu Municipal Council.
