Renowned Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has candidly shared the emotional struggles she experienced after becoming pregnant at 20.
Speaking on the Talk To B podcast, Ajao recounted how she kept her pregnancy hidden due to societal pressures and fear of being labeled a “baby mama.”
She explained that, despite teenage marriages being common in some areas, her community expected young women to complete their education first.
At the time, she was a student at Yabatech and only confided in close friends and family.“Back then, being pregnant so young felt overwhelming.
You feared judgment, rejection, and the possibility of never getting married,” she said, adding that the stigma surrounding early motherhood led her to isolate herself.
According to reports, the now 44-year-old actress gave birth to her son in May 2002.
