Enugu State’s First Lady, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, led the March edition of the monthly prayer gathering dedicated to government success, women’s unity, and empowerment in Enugu State. Under the guidance of Evangelist Mrs. Favour Ngozi Ugwuanyi and her Assistant, Pastor John Tochukwu Ogbodo, the network has persistently pursued unity and empowerment since its 2002 inception.
Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi, the Coordinator, stressed the significance of spirituality in driving positive change, urging women to unite for progress. Mrs. Mbah expressed heartfelt gratitude for enthusiastic participation, urging continued support and collective action through prayer.
Dignitaries, including Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, Amb Mrs. Onyinye Mamah, Mrs. Chinyere Ugwu (Wife of the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly), Dr. Uzoamaka Okenwa (representing Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, the Governor’s wife), Hon Mrs Jane Eneh, Chairman House Committee on Gender Affairs, Enugu State House of Assembly, and Barr Mrs. Nnenna Anozie, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwagbara, the State Coordinator African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA Enugu Branch), Hon Mrs Ngozi Itanyi, Members of the NUJ, NLC, State Women Stakeholders, Former ALGON Chairperson Mrs Rita Edeh amongst others, enhanced the event’s importance.
The March rally at Okpara Square underscores the power of faith and collaboration in effecting change. As Enugu State strides toward a brighter future, the resilience and determination of its women, led by Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi, inspire future generations.
