Day five of the PDP campaign in Enugu North Local Government Area drew another massive swarm of supporters who came out in large numbers to back the candidacy of Dr. Ibenaku Onoh.
The campaign train visited Onuasata Ward 4 and Ogui New Layout Ward 8, the home wards of former council chairman Hon. Emeka Edeh and immediate past chairman of PDP Enugu North, Hon. Okey Ezike.
Addressing the residents, Dr. Onoh urged them to maintain their support for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration and the PDP, while highlighting the governor’s ongoing achievements across the state. He reiterated his commitment to resolving the issues raised during the visits, assuring the people that he would address their concerns once in office.
Dr. Onoh stressed that his mission is to continue and expand the developmental strides initiated by Governor Mbah, adding that strategies have been put in place to ensure maximum replication of the governor’s infrastructural achievements throughout the state, as he is committed to working for the benefit of all.
Key party figures who spoke to the gathering included the Local Government Party Chairman and campaign Coordinator, Hon Ernest Onuoha, Hon. Emeka Edeh, Hon. Okey Ezike, Former council chairman, Hon Emeka Onunze, Member Enugu State House of Assembly Hon Johnson Anih, former Deputy Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon Emeka Nnamani, Hon Ephraim Anuoka, Hon Esther Edeh, Hon Emeka Ayogu, Hon Chukwuma Ugwu, Ward Chairmen Hon. Ebuka Aguka and Hon. Emeka Eze, as well as the counsellorship candidates Hon. Nkemjika Mba and Hon. Amarachi Agbo, , among others.
The high point of the event was the empowerment of an octogenarian party stalwart in Onuasata, in recognition of years of loyal service to the party.
