American rapper Kodak Black was arrested in South Florida on Thursday for cocaine possession, tampering with evidence, and violating his probation.
The 26-year-old was found with drugs in a Bentley in Plantation at 3 a.m., according to police. Although he was initially held at Broward County jail, he was allowed to leave on Thursday night.
Notably, former US President Donald Trump commuted Black’s 46-month prison sentence for falsifying information on federal forms to purchase firearms.
The rapper has a history of convictions, including grand theft of a firearm, marijuana possession, child negligence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He has also faced charges for armed robbery, sexual assault, breaking probation, weapon possession, and evading law enforcement.
