Former APC gubernatorial candidate switches parties.

Former gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mrs. Victoria Amu, has tendered her resignation from the party.

In a letter directed to the chairman of the party in Ward 4 within the Owan West local government area of Edo State, Amu conveyed her decision to step away from the APC, citing personal and familial considerations.

Within the correspondence, she expressed gratitude to the APC for the opportunity to serve as the Senior Special Assistant on Social Mobilization for seven years under the tenure of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and later as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki for one year.

She added:


“It is on record, that I ran for the House of Assembly in 2022 and also in the just concluded Governorship race in 2024 all under the APC.

“I crave the indulgence of all my friends, supporters and well wishers to respect my decisions at this auspicious moment to redefine the destiny of our great state.”
