Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, citing a “difficult decision” after days of reflection and introspection.
In his resignation letter, Abdullahi expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunities he had to serve the state and country, but stated that he had come to the conclusion that leaving the party was the only tenable option for him at this time.
The state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olusola Adewara, described Abdullahi’s resignation as personal, wishing him well in his future endeavors and noting that the party would not be affected by his departure.
