Nollywood star and filmmaker Funke Akindele has confidently announced that her latest film, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa,’ is expected to earn N5 billion when it premieres in theaters this December. In a viral video featuring cast members, Akindele shared her optimism, stating, “We are making N5 billion this year.”
If the film meets this ambitious target, it would surpass the previous record held by Akindele’s own film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ which was the first Nigerian movie to gross over one billion naira.
The premiere of ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ took place on Sunday night in Lagos and was attended by various celebrities, including Akindele’s former friend, Eniola Badmus.
