Gburugburu’s Healing Hands: Free Surgery Program Rescues Lives in Nsukka

In a remarkable display of compassion, H. E. Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Gburugburu’s free surgery initiative, held at Chief Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital in Nsukka, brought hope and healing to four individuals facing diverse medical challenges on this 7th of January.

The program, a legacy of former Governor Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, is steered by his dedicated son, Dr. George Ajogwu, and has become a beacon of salvation for the less fortunate.

Today’s beneficiaries included Utazi Maryrose from UVURU, who underwent a successful Appendectomy. Ezugwu Godwin from Ugbene-Ajima saw correction for an abnormal neck growth, while Chinedu Chikaodili from Nimbo had an abnormal growth on the right leg rectified. The youngest recipient, 6-year-old Iruoma Omeje from Nru in Enugu town, had a Right Femoral Hernia expertly corrected.
