Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah is rallying support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates ahead of the September 21 local government polls. He urged voters to consolidate his administration’s development strides by electing PDP candidates, citing over 1,000 ongoing projects in the state, including 260 Smart Green Schools and 260 Primary Healthcare Centres.
Mbah emphasized the importance of quality learning, robotics, mechatronics, and artificial intelligence to ensure no child in Enugu State will be poor in 10-15 years. He also highlighted the generation of wealth and employment in every community through these projects.
The governor assured voters that PDP candidates were carefully selected for their integrity and competence, and he encouraged supporters to come out and vote en masse, stressing that complacency could harm the party’s chances.
Other PDP chieftains, including the Speaker and Senate Minority Whip, echoed Mbah’s sentiments, noting that the governor’s projects have already secured victory for the party. The party’s chairmanship flagbearer in Isi-Uzo LGA, Hon. Obioara Obeagu, stated that the governor’s numerous projects have eliminated opposition.
