“He’s a mole, exit not a surprise” – Labour Party Slams Kenneth Okonkwo

Published on

The Labour Party (LP) has labeled Kenneth Okonkwo as a mole, claiming that his departure from the party was expected. The LP criticized Okonkwo for attacking its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and described it as unfortunate and a bid for attention. Okonkwo, a prominent member of the LP, recently expressed his lack of confidence in Obi’s ability to build a party capable of winning elections.

He stated that even if people voted for Obi, he would not be able to secure the mandate. Okonkwo further explained that recent events in the party motivated him to embark on a new political path. In response, the LP’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, issued a statement stating that Okonkwo’s resignation was not surprising. Ifoh criticized Okonkwo’s criticism of Obi as unfortunate and an attempt to gain attention.

“Kenneth Okonkwo’s resignation from the Labour Party didn’t come to us as a surprise. We also think that his attack on the party’s leader, Peter Obi, is rather unfortunate

“However, we will continue not to dignify him with any response, as we understand that his attention-craving attitude knows no bounds”.
