Dalyce Curry, a renowned Hollywood actress known for her roles in Blues Brothers, Lady Sings the Blues, and The 10 Commandments, has tragically passed away at the age of 95. Her body was found burnt days after the fire razed her Altadena property.
The Los Angeles wildfires have claimed at least 24 lives, with Curry’s being the second celebrity death reported. Her granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, confirmed the news on Facebook, expressing her devastation over the loss of “Momma D,” who had impacted many lives.
The wildfires, fueled by intense winds, have destroyed homes and prompted widespread evacuations in Altadena and Pasadena. Authorities have announced a red flag warning due to dry and dangerous Santa Ana winds.
