Nigerian musician Burna Boy has strongly criticized his peer, Eedris Abdulkareem, for comments Abdulkareem made about him in an upcoming podcast episode.

In a viral teaser clip from The Honest Bunch Podcast, Abdulkareem can be heard criticizing Burna Boy for claiming that no Nigerian artist supported him. Abdulkareem called Burna Boy’s statement “nonsensical.”

In response, Burna Boy, in a now-deleted post on his official social media account, expressed that he didn’t hold Abdulkareem responsible for his remarks but rather the individuals who contributed money to assist with his medical expenses during a kidney transplant in 2022.

The musician known as the ‘African Giant’, who is currently in the Bahamas for a performance, remarked that he hoped Abdulkareem could be present so they could settle their differences physically.

He wrote in Pidgin:

“Abdul Kareem abi wettin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person wey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey, make we use mistake jam.”
