In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, filmmaker and media mogul Samuel Olatunji, aka Bigsam, shared the reason behind his advice to actress Toyin Abraham to shave her underarms.
As the CEO of Bigsam Media and Toyin Abraham’s publicist, Bigsam offered insight into his professional relationship with the actress.
During the conversation, he explained the rationale behind his suggestion, providing context to the conversation.
He said;
“But going back to Toyin Abraham, I just believe that I’m fulfilling purpose. You see, if you don’t manage an artiste to the point where they feel that you are sleeping with the person, you are doing a ritual with the person, you are not yet fulfilled.
“Because you are their father, mother and their pastor. I used to say it and it was still one of my joyous moments. The house that Toyin bought in Ibadan, she didn’t get there. It was when she got married that I handed over the document to her husband.
“She didn’t know where I made the money and I got her the money and asked her if she wanted a car or something, she said which car? She didn’t buy a car. So when people are saying Toyin is doing too much for driving a Jeep, I laugh because she never drove a good car all her life. She now got to a position where she can afford G-Wagon and you are still talking. You don’t know the story.
“There was a time we needed to go and see somebody. I went out to buy shaving sticks for Toyin, shaved the armpits so that if the armpits stand, people should not see. So people should credit Toyin because she was committed to having a better life. She was committed to changes, so it was easier for us to succeed with her.”
