Television personality Jenny McCarthy recently shared a rather surprising story about a visit to Italy where she ended up taking a cross from Pope Francis. In an episode of the “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa” podcast, McCarthy, who comes from a devout Catholic background, admitted to the act.
During the podcast, she mentioned gifting the stolen cross to her mother, leading to some amusing reactions. McCarthy clarified that she didn’t personally take the cross but rather one of her friends did during a visit to the Pope’s residence in Vatican City.
Despite her mother’s initial reservations, the cross is now displayed at her home, with McCarthy finding comfort in knowing that it has found a place of honor.
