Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former Delta State governor James Ibori and representative of Ethiope Federal Constituency, has expressed her gratitude for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the move saved her political ambitions.
She accused the PDP of attempting to stifle her aspirations, but thanked God for her successful defection.
The APC has welcomed her, with immediate past Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege describing her as a “political bulldozer” who will help the party secure Delta State in the 2027 elections.
Ibori-Suenu’s defection has been met with enthusiasm from APC leaders, who believe her energy and dedication will strengthen their chances in the upcoming elections.
