Oluwaseyitan Aletile, a renowned Nigerian actor and comedian popularly known as Seyi Law, recently expressed his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu despite the prevailing economic challenges in the country.
He declared that he would cast his vote for Tinubu in a hypothetical fresh election, drawing a parallel between Nigeria’s economic struggles and the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness in the Bible.
Seyi Law emphasized his willingness to stand by a leader like “a Moses through the wilderness to Canaan” rather than indulge in temporary pleasures while sacrificing future generations’ well-being.
In a detailed statement shared on his social media platform, Seyi Law criticized the lack of effective communication from government agencies regarding their actions and initiatives amidst the citizens’ pessimism and clamor for instant gratification.
He urged fellow Nigerians to focus on holding their state governments accountable and not rely solely on the Federal Government for all solutions to societal challenges.
He said:
“it is easy for any government at the centre to please the multitude by reverting back to full subsidy on fuel and exchange rates, but I would rather we reset, rebuild, and sustain our future than live on a better now by borrowing our future”.
“if another election was held tomorrow, I would still vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
