Igbo-Eze South Chairman, Barr. Ukwueze elected Enugu ALGON Vice Chairman

The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Barr. Ugo-Ferdinand Ukwueze, has been elected as the Vice Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter.

The election was carried out at their inaugural meeting held at the ALGON House Independence Layout, Enugu on Wednesday.

The Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Hon. Sydney Edeh was returned as the Chairman while Hon. Uche Okolo from Awgu was returned as the Secretary.

Reacting to his election, Barr. Ukwueze thanked his colleagues for finding him worthy to occupy the revered seat.

He promised to support the Chairman in piloting the affairs of ALGON in the state to administer development in the rural areas in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s agenda.

The Igbo-Eze South Chairman who also commended Governor Peter Mbah for his sterling leadership in the state said, “he created the conducive environment for this democratic process that took place today to thrive. Indeed, in Enugu State, our Tomorrow Is Here”

Barr. Ukwueze assured the people of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of his commitment to take the council to greater heights.

He said, “Our ‘Progress Agenda’ mantra will address all the basic amenities that will boost living conditions in our rural communities,”.
