Ijegalu Resigns from ADC in Enugu

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State, Hon. Ijegalu Chidozie Andrew, has formally resigned his membership of the party with immediate effect.

In a resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of ADC in Affa/Ikono/Oghu Ward, Udi Local Government Area, and dated May 1, 2026, Ijegalu said his decision followed careful reflection and a reassessment of his personal principles and political aspirations.

He stated that the current direction and guiding values of the party no longer align with his convictions, making it necessary for him to withdraw his membership.

“I have come to the firm conclusion that the party’s current direction and guiding values are no longer in alignment with my convictions. In view of this, it has become necessary for me to withdraw my membership,” the letter read in part.

Ijegalu, who hails from Affa/Ikono/Oghu Ward in Udi LGA, provided his membership details, including his card number (En-Udi-Af-223689), as part of the formal notification.

He, however, expressed appreciation to the party leadership and members for the opportunity to serve and the experience gained during his time in the ADC.
