The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied allegations that Governor Hope Uzodinma financially starved the party.
According to Cajetan Duke, the party’s Publicity Secretary, the allegations are mere rumors fabricated by enemies of the party who are envious of the party’s success in the recent Local Council polls.
Duke emphasized that the party’s financial records are clean and up-to-date, and that the governor’s involvement in the party’s day-to-day activities is non-financial.
He also pointed out that the party’s constitution outlines various sources of funding, including membership dues and donations, and that the governor or state government is not a source of funding for the party.
