Independence Day Message: Chief Aloysius Ogbonna Applauds Governor Mbah, Calls for Proactive Leadership

The Igwe-elect of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr., made this call on Tuesday through his Independence Day message to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration.

He stated that the progress desired by all for the country requires collective responsibility, urging Nigerians to stand by the nation through thick and thin. “Nigeria belongs to every one of us, and it is our collective responsibility to build the country we desire. True patriotism means standing by our nation and working together for the common good,” Chief Ogbonna noted.

Commending Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State for his exemplary leadership, Chief Ogbonna praised the governor’s commitment to infrastructural growth and economic development in the state. He encouraged other leaders to follow Mbah’s example by prioritizing development over political gains.

He also extended his appreciation to the people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese for their support, noting that their contributions have played a significant role in the community’s progress. Chief Ogbonna urged newly sworn-in local government chairmen to embrace their roles with dedication and action, reminding them that local governance is critical to driving grassroots development.
