“I’ve forgiven Junior Pope for backstabbing me” – Yul Edochie

Published on

Yul Edochie recently expressed that he has chosen to forgive his late colleague, Junior Pope, despite feeling betrayed by him.

He had previously accused Pope of backstabbing him, despite their close relationship. Edochie had considered Pope to be like a brother and a good friend, but felt let down by his actions.

Although he admitted to feeling hurt by the betrayal, he has now made the decision to let go of any ill feelings towards Pope. Edochie also revealed that he did not mourn Pope’s death initially due to the alleged betrayal.

His statements and disclosures were met with criticism, especially from his aunt, Rita Edochie, who criticized him for harboring resentment towards the deceased actor.

Despite forgiving Junior Pope, Yul Edochie admitted that he was profoundly affected by the suspected betrayal.

He wrote:

“Speaking about forgiveness. I forgive him completely. It hurts deeply when a friend you love, took like a brother, stood for and shown love over the years turns around to stab you in the back repeatedly without remorse.

“Sadly, that’s the world we live. Humans are filled with flaws. To err is human, to forgive is divine. I forgive him & wish his family the very best.”
