Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has voiced her disappointment over 2Baba’s recent public declaration regarding his impending divorce from his wife, Annie.
In an Instagram post, Ojo highlighted the insensitivity of the timing, especially as Annie is currently dealing with criticism from her appearance on the reality show “Young, Famous & African.”
She stated, “A gentle reminder to all couples: when love diminishes, it’s crucial to put your children’s welfare first. As parents, making sacrifices is vital. Do not abandon those you love during their toughest times, even when separation or divorce may be necessary.”
Ojo urged the importance of compassion and maintaining the mental health of children, asserting that sensitive matters shouldn’t be aired publicly, as social media often overlooks the people involved.
“@official2baba, I admire both of you, but the timing of this news is inappropriate. It only exacerbates the situation for the mother of your children during a vulnerable period. I’m truly disappointed.”
She concluded by praying for Annie, wishing her the strength to focus on her children’s needs and reminding her that this challenging time will eventually pass.
