Lagos, Nigeria After 70 days of intense competition, romance, and controversies, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9, themed “No Loose Guard,” has come to an end.

The grand finale aired on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 7 PM (Nigerian Time), where viewers eagerly waited to see who would walk away with the grand prize of N100 million and other endorsement deals.

The season, which premiered on July 28, 2024, introduced a twist with housemates initially entering the competition as pairs.

However, they were later unpaired, forcing them to navigate the challenges and evictions as individuals.

This season also saw Guinness take over from Moniepoint as the show’s new sponsor. Voting was exclusively online via the BBNaija website and the DStv and GOtv mobile apps.

Eight housemates battled it out in the finale: Kellyrae, Ozee, Sooj, Wanni, Nelly, Anita, Onyeka, and Victoria3. Nelly and Anita, known as “Nelita,” were the only pair who had not lost a partner. Social media buzzed with speculation, with Kellyrae being tipped as a potential winner.

The BBNaija Season 9 finale was broadcast live on DStv, GOtv, and Showmax. Looking ahead, Big Brother Naija Season 10 is set to premiere on July 28th and 29th, 2025. Auditions are expected to take place in March and April 2025, and the application form will be available on the BBNaija audition website.

The form is free, and applicants must be at least 21 years old with a valid Nigerian identification document. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is expected to return as host for the 10th consecutive season.
