The Labour Party in Edo State has officially launched its governorship campaign council ahead of the upcoming September 21 election.
The council’s mandate is to attract more eligible voters to support the party. Kelly Ogbaloi, the State Chairman of the Party, inaugurated the council and highlighted the collaboration with over 30 strategic committees.
Ogbaloi expressed confidence in the council’s ability to lead the party to victory, citing the lack of trust the people have in the two major parties that have governed the state since 1999.
He also emphasized the party’s determination to mobilize all stakeholders in the political landscape to support their candidate, Barrister Olumide Akpata, and his running mate.
Additionally, the party called on the public to disregard any other information about their candidate and outlined the presence of various coordinators at the senatorial, local government, and ward levels to promote the candidate across all areas of the state.
