The Labour Party in Delta State has expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of the recent council polls in Aniocha South Local Government Area.
They have taken action by submitting a petition to the Local Government Election Petition Tribunal in Asaba, citing significant non-compliance with electoral regulations as the main reason for their petition.
The party specifically challenged the victory declaration of Jude Chukwunweike from the Peoples Democratic Party by DSIEC.
LP highlighted issues such as missing voting materials in DSIEC wards, preventing many eligible voters from casting their votes.
They also mentioned that their representatives did not approve the alleged result sheets used by DSIEC to support PDP’s victory, alleging a violation of electoral laws.
