Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party, has been suspended after being accused of engaging in activities that go against the party’s principles.
The suspension was imposed by the LP in Ward 3 in Arue-Uromi, located in Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State. On Friday night, the state executive committee in Benin approved the suspension, as stated in the letter dated May 14, 2024.
The letter was signed by the Chairman of the Ward, Thompson Ehiguese, and the Ward Secretary, Stanley Usiomoh. Abure has been advised to cease presenting himself as a party member.
The suspension, which has been supported by the State Executive Committee led by Kelly Ogbaloi, is effective immediately.
