Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential running mate, stated that Nigeria’s economic turmoil validates his and Peter Obi’s warnings against the APC taking power.
At the LP Interim National Caretaker Committee meeting, Baba-Ahmed expressed confidence in the party’s growth, citing achievements such as contesting 10 million votes at the Supreme Court.
He clarified the leadership tussle, emphasizing Julius Abure’s removal was due to tenure expiration. Baba-Ahmed called for unity, urging Abure and his team to join the Caretaker Committee.
The committee, chaired by Senator Nenadi Usman, vowed to rescue and rebuild the party, providing a viable alternative platform for Nigerians.
