Prominent Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, recently opened up about the profound pain he has been experiencing following the untimely passing of his mother, Dolapo Balogun.
According to reports, the singer tragically lost his mother during a European tour for his album, ‘More Love Less Ego,’ in August 2023.
Wizkid took to social media to candidly express his emotional struggle since his mother’s departure, revealing that life has felt devoid of meaning without her presence.
In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Wednesday, the singer implored his fans to rely on, and seek solace in, their relationship with God.
He penned, “I made this (song) a few days after I lost my mum. Life has been devoid of purpose! But we keep going.
