Dr Uche Sampson Ogah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, has expressed his concern over the deceitful behavior exhibited by many leaders in Abia State, which he believes is detrimental to the party’s chances in upcoming elections.

Ogah voiced his concerns during a meeting of Abia stakeholders of the APC in Umuahia, the capital city of Abia State, where he spoke to reporters.

He said;

“The way forward is peace in the party. That has to unite every leader in the party. Because If there is no peace, we are going nowhere.

“And I can tell you free of charge that what we need in Abia APC is peace and sincerity of purpose. Not about lying to the people, tell people the truth. And once you are sincere, the party will move forward.

“What has held this party down in Abia state is insincerity of most of the leaders. And I can honestly tell you that is the problem.

“The leader of the party should be able to put everybody together. Bring all of us at the same table, and present every issue on top of the table and we tell ourselves the truth.”
