METHODIST ARCHDIOCESE OF ENUGU COMMENDS HON. CHIMAOBI ATU’S ACHIEVEMENT, LEADERSHIP STYLE

The Archbishop of the Enugu Methodist Church Archdiocese, Most Rev. Barr. Christopher Nweke Ede, has commended the legislative achievements of the Member representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu.

The Archbishop gave the commendation on Saturday during the ongoing 4th Archdiocesan Women’s Fellowship Conference, hosted by Saint Michael’s Methodist Cathedral, Agbani.

He stated that the Labour Party lawmaker has demonstrated unwavering commitment to his legislative duties at the National Assembly and his constituency within the last year, adding that he had seen the legislative records and the numerous projects he has attracted to his people.

According to him, “Hon. Chimaobi Atu has shown that he is a true leader who is out to change the story. Within the short time he has spent at the National Assembly, he has shown us that he knows what he is doing. Look at all the bills he has sponsored and the projects he has attracted to his constituency. These are simply commendable.”

Earlier in the event, the Bishop of St. Michael’s Methodist Church Agbani Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. J.N. Okorie, said he was happy that Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu honored their invitation.

He explained that Hon. Atu is a “true son of the Methodist Church Nigeria, which has made them proud at the National Assembly.”

Highlights of the event included the presentation of an award to Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu by the Archdiocesan Women’s Fellowship.

Responding after receiving the award, Rep. Atu said he was pleased with the progress made by the women’s group in the church and their commitment towards nation-building.

He explained that the theme of this year’s conference, “Women Arise and Build According to the Pattern,” was in line with his unflinching support for “women’s inclusiveness in all sectors of our national life.” Hon. Atu also made cash donations to the conference and the women’s group.

Speaking on behalf of the women, the Vice President/Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Ezinne Dr. Chilotam Ujam, said Hon. Atu has continued to portray himself as a true child of God, who is fair in all his dealings. She added that the lawmaker is always ready and available to do good works for his people.
