Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has made a shocking revelation that she found out about her husband’s burial on the internet.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried less than 24 hours later by his father, Joseph Aloba, in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
According to Omowunmi, she was not informed about the burial plans, and it was only through online reports that she learned of her husband’s burial. She also claimed that her father-in-law and a certain woman attempted to kidnap her son, Liam, on the day of the burial.
Omowunmi further revealed that her husband’s body was initially taken to a morgue, but her father-in-law had wanted to bury him the same night he died. She alleged that it took the intervention of family and friends to prevent the immediate burial.
Mohbad’s body was later exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy due to controversies surrounding his death.
The results of the autopsy are still pending, and the father of the deceased has stated that the body will only be reburied when the controversies surrounding his death are resolved.
