Musician Terry Apala Remanded in Custody Over Alleged Naira Mutilation.

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the remand of musician Terry Apala at a Correctional Centre over allegations of mutilating Naira notes.

Apala was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a one-count charge related to the alleged offense, which occurred during a social event in January 2025.

The musician pleaded not guilty, and the court adjourned the matter to May 5, 2025, for the hearing of his bail application.

The judge ordered Apala’s remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending the outcome of the bail proceedings.
