Nigerian artist and owner of Marlian Record label, Naira Marley, has denied allegations of signing DJ Splash.
Following the tragic death of his former signee, Mohbad, Naira Marley has faced backlash and various accusations.
The investigation into Mohbad’s death has sparked suspicions among Nigerians, claiming that DJ Splash, an alleged associate of Marlian Music, became mentally unstable after consuming substances provided by the Marlian team.
In a recent video shared by actress Iyabo Ojo during her visit, DJ Splash’s mother alleged that her son has been mentally unstable since leaving Naira Marley’s house.
However, in a recent interview with Reno Omokri, Naira Marley dismissed claims that DJ Splash was his official DJ or signed to his music label.
He clarified that the DJ had already left his team before Naira Marley started facing his own challenges.
“DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music. I know him as a DJ, but he has never deejayed with me at shows or anything, it is not like he is my DJ. They just gave him the title because I have a picture with him.
“When whatever happened to him, he was not at my house, and I do not understand where all this is coming from,” he said.
