Nigeria’s Most-Streamed Artist on Spotify in 2023 is Asake

Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake, has emerged as the most widely streamed artist in Nigeria on Spotify for the year 2023. The renowned Nigerian singer achieved this feat, which was announced by the popular streaming platform in their recently published data.

Asake’s impressive music presence is further highlighted by the fact that three of his songs have secured positions within the top 10 most streamed tracks on Spotify in Nigeria. Leading the pack is his hit single ‘Lonely at the Top’, which claimed the coveted first position.

Another successful track, ‘2:30’, secured the fourth spot on the list, while ‘Amapiano’, featuring Olamide, rounded off the top 10. Notably, Asake’s dominance extends beyond Spotify as he also claimed the number one spot in the Nigeria edition of Spotify Wrapped, an annual recap that showcases the top artists and songs in a given country.

Following closely behind Asake in the rankings are acclaimed artists Burna Boy in second place and Davido in third. Seyi Vibez concluded the year in fourth position, with Omah Lay securing fifth place. The remaining spots in the top 10 were claimed by BNXN, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide, and Wizkid, respectively.

Asake’s achievements signify his exceptional talent and growing popularity in the Nigerian music industry, making him a force to be reckoned with.
