The Nkanu Youth Organisation will on Friday, July 26th, 2024, hold its inaugural stakeholders meeting aimed at uniting the youths in Enugu East Senatorial zone for disruptive advancement in growth.
The meeting, which will take place at Toprank Hotel Enugu by 10am, has been in the media space for a while now as it promises to bring together a lot of youthful “who’s who” in Nkanu land for a roundtable discussion on the progress of their zone.
Speaking with newsmen in Enugu on Thursday, the President of the organisation, Comrade Nwachukwu Dika David, said the meeting will also bring together all the stakeholders, policymakers, community leaders, youth leaders, and others from the zone irrespective of political party affiliation.
He stated that arrangements are on the ground to ensure that the event achieves its desired goals.
According to him, “We are organising our stakeholders meeting in line with the vision of the organisation. We want to have a united front that will speed up development in our political zone which includes: Enugu North, Enugu East, Enugu South, Nkanu East, Nkanu West, and Isi Uzo Local Government Areas.”
“We have sent out invitations to all and we are hopeful of a massive turnout.”
“The invitees are youth political leaders, policymakers, business moguls, community elders, and so on.”
“Each interest group in our zone will be represented and the meeting will draft a roadmap for our growth.”
“We have all it takes to take over every sector in this country and with this meeting and the ideas that will be outlined, a greater Nkanu youth will be birthed.”
Comrade David also called for more support from the well-to-do in Nkanu land towards the organisation, which he said is the apex body representing youths from the Enugu East Senatorial zone.
Also speaking, the immediate past president of the organisation, Comrade Edeani M. Edeani, applauded the new leadership of the organisation.
He stated that it is a sign of greater things coming to Nkanu land as the progressive ideas to be discussed will change the lives of many for good.
