The Osun State branch of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has issued a strong warning to the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Ganduje, urging him not to incite conflict in the Southwest following his recent statements.
During a visit to Akure, Ondo State, after INEC announced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s election victory, Ganduje expressed optimism that the APC would secure future electoral wins in Oyo and Osun states.
In a statement released in Osogbo by NNPP’s Osun chairman, Tosin Odeyemi, on Monday, Ganduje’s comments were criticized as irresponsible and inappropriate for someone in his esteemed position, especially in light of the economic difficulties Nigerians are currently facing under APC governance.
