The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State has announced the dates for its primary election in preparation for the upcoming local government election. The party has expressed its willingness to accommodate aspiring young candidates, stating that fresh blood is needed to address the various challenges facing Nigeria’s economy.
The party emphasized that encouraging the knowledge and involvement of young people is essential for positive change. The NNPP has informed the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) that its primary for nominating chairmanship and councillorship candidates will take place between August 22nd and 23rd, 2024.
The party believes that giving young people the opportunity to serve in leadership roles will lead to unprecedented development and improve the lives of the masses.
The NNPP is confident that it will win in the local government election scheduled for February 22, 2025, and has mobilized its members accordingly.
The OSSIEC chairman, Hashim Abioye, has also announced the commission’s plan to recruit electoral officers and assistant electoral officers for the upcoming poll.
