Ghanaian playwright Kuuku Korsah Enninful, also known as Kuta Body Alone, is speaking out against comparisons between Ghanaian actors and their Nigerian counterparts, calling them unnecessary.
Kuta Body Alone believes that each country’s film industry has its unique strengths and weaknesses, and that comparisons only serve to create unhealthy competition and tension between the two nations’ actors.
Instead, he advocates for focusing on promoting and supporting local talent to foster growth and development in the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
By emphasizing the importance of national pride and self-sufficiency, Kuta Body Alone hopes to shift the focus from comparisons to collaboration and mutual appreciation between Ghanaian and Nigerian actors.
