Famous Nigerian actor Stephen Alajemba, also known as Uwaezuoke, has opened up about the numerous rejections he faced from women in his life because of his physical and facial appearance.
The actor disclosed that his mother cautioned him about being turned down as a baby due to his unappealing features.
Stephen Alajemba shared his ordeals, revealing that rejection based on his appearance persisted throughout his adult life, particularly in romantic relationships.
As per the seasoned actor, women usually “flee” at the sight of his looks, making it challenging for him to find a romantic partner until he reached the age of 20.
In the interview, Stephen Alajemba stated that he vowed to make his mother proud, after she expressed dissatisfaction with him as a child, saying that he didn’t bring her any joy.
Despite the challenges he faced, the determined actor overcame the obstacles.
Now in his fifties, he revealed that he eventually found love and married his first love at the age of 23.
“Any lady who sees my facial look and stature runs away. Unfortunately before one accepted me I was already 20 to 22 years old. I married at 23. So the first person tasted it and confirmed it and she did not leave me anymore”.
