Renowned Nollywood actor Ayobami Olabiyi has passed away after battling an illness that left him hospitalized at University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Olabiyi, affectionately known as ‘Bobo B,’ was a respected figure in the Yoruba movie industry and served as the National General Secretary of the Oyo State Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
The news of his demise was announced by TAMPAN Chairman Bose Akinola, who expressed condolences to Olabiyi’s family and the entire TAMPAN community.
This loss comes as another blow to the Nollywood industry, which has experienced several deaths in 2024, including notable actors John Okafor, Amechi Muonagor, and Quadri Oyebamiji.
