Ogun Government Dismisses Adebutu’s Allegations as “Ranting of a Drowning Man”

Published on

The Ogun State government has labeled allegations made by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Ladi Adebutu against Governor Dapo Abiodun as baseless and desperate attempts to stay relevant.

Adebutu claimed that Abiodun couldn’t account for local government funds over the last five years, but the government insists that the governor didn’t touch local government funds.

A statement from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Hon Kayode Akinmade, noted that Adebutu is under investigation for electoral violence and attempted murder, and has a history of making empty claims.

The government views Adebutu’s actions as a “sinking ship” trying to drag others down.
