Tolulope Phillips, the Labour Party’s candidate for the 2023 Abeokuta South Federal Constituency election, has officially become a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.
On Tuesday, Phillips registered at Ward 7, Ijaye in Abeokuta South Local Government after previously joining the major opposition party in the state following the last election.
In an interview with reporters, Phillips expressed his belief that the PDP is the right choice to govern Ogun State and Nigeria in 2027.
He emphasized the urgent need to rescue both Ogun State and Nigeria from the disastrous leadership that is causing daily hardships and impoverishment for the citizens.
Phillips pointed out the controversial circumstances surrounding the last governorship election in Ogun State, stating that the true winner of the people’s mandate was not properly acknowledged or represented.
