Famed Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared the impact of her recent emergency gallbladder surgery on her self-esteem.
In an Instagram video posted on Saturday, she reflected on how the procedure, which occurred in late 2024, left her with visible scars.
She expressed her feelings of self-consciousness, admitting, “My tummy is no longer perfect,” which she previously regarded as one of her best physical features.
During the video shoot, she recalled a moment when she instinctively adjusted her top, only to hear a voice in her head reminding her of the changes to her body. Despite these feelings, Omotola emphasized her resilience, stating, “Nothing will shake my confidence. I smiled and danced. I’m alive; it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical while others are emotional.”
