Ondo Governorship Poll: REC Confirms Arrival of BVAS and Materials Ahead of November Election

Oluwatoyin Babalola, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State, announced that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and other non-sensitive election materials have been delivered to the state in preparation for the governorship election scheduled for November 16.

During a press briefing, Babalola emphasized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s commitment to conducting smooth and transparent elections. He assured that security forces are ready for the upcoming polls and that measures are in place to combat vote-buying.

Babalola also mentioned that Registration Area Technical Support Staff (RATECH) will be available at all Registration Areas (RAs) to assist with any technical issues related to the BVAS. He encouraged citizens of Ondo State to participate actively in the election while remaining peaceful, reinforcing that every vote will matter. Efforts to discourage vote-buying are ongoing as part of INEC’s strategy for a successful election.
