Former Abia State Governor and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has revealed that President Bola Tinubu was not pleased with the meager 4% votes he received in Abia State during the 2023 presidential election.

Kalu made this statement while addressing a stakeholders’ meeting at his Abuja residence, which aimed to galvanize support for the APC in Abia State ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to Kalu, the South East region should not miss out on the benefits of belonging to the mainstream political environment.

He emphasized the need for APC members to unite and work towards delivering victory for the party in Abia State in 2027.

Kalu clarified that Governor Alex Otti did not feature in the discussions and that he did not speak against the governor’s performance, maintaining that only the electorate can decide the fate of leaders.

Kalu’s comments come as he seeks to rally support for the APC in Abia State, highlighting the importance of unity and collective effort in achieving electoral success.
